6 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech
Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga :
Our adventure of this 6 Days Desert Tour will start when we pick you up at 8:00 am from the meeting point (Riad or Hotel) towards Merzouga. We will Drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by the little Switzerland of Morocco “ Ifrane city”, and visit the cedars forest in Azrou where you might see the Berber monkeys.
Halfway, you will have free time for lunch in Midelt, which is famous for its fossils and rocks, and its cool weather in the summertime. We’ll travel along Ziz Valley, then pass by Erfoud and Rissani where we can visit the local souk ( traditional market shop) and have Berber pizza. Later afternoon we arrive at the Merzouga desert and we’ll stay the night in a desert hotel.
Day 2 : Merzouga Desert 4×4 Tour and Camel Trekking :
Today we’ll explore the Merzouga area by 4×4 quads. We will visit Khamlia village where you can have the opportunity to enjoy their spiritual Gnawa music. You will still enjoy the Sahara dunes and have a little trip around Erg Chebbi. You will have a free program in the afternoon to enjoy the Sahara dunes on your own. You can rent quads, try sandboarding, or even sand-bath during the summer months. You’ll spend the night in a desert hotel.
Day 3 : Merzouga Desert Tour - Camel Trekking :
Today we explore the Erg Chebbi Desert more deeply. We will visit nomad Berbers and experience their lifestyle for a while. You will have a free program to enjoy sandboarding from High Dunes.
In the afternoon, you will have a whole new experience, one of the most remarkable endless experiences in Erg-Chebbi.
After you take an overnight bag, you gonna have a 1-hr camel ride to a desert camp deep in the dunes. Local guides will teach you how to mount and dismount and how to tie a turban to keep the desert sun off your face and add a little flare to your photos. You will get to enjoy a warm welcome at the desert camp followed by a traditional dinner under the stars. There will be time to hear stories about life in this region and perhaps, if lucky, be treated to some traditional music on the drums.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges :
Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise in your life. Then you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Your hotel/Riad. So en route, you won’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and a hot shower, you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra Gorges. These gorges are the highest and the narrowest in Morocco.
Then after lunch in the heart of the Gorge, we’ll continue our Fes Desert Tours via the Sahara Desert, through the Dades Valley. There where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Finally, overnight accommodation will be in a fancy traditional guesthouse overlooking the Dades Valley with dinner and breakfast.
Day 5 : Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech :
Today we depart towards Marrakech to visit Ouarzazate, in which we can visit the movie studios and the local kasbahs. We continue our private Morocco tour to Ait Ben Haddou; the location of so many blockbuster movies and a UNESCO world heritage site.
Then we continue driving through High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass. After we reach Marrakech, our day excursion will end with a drop-off at your hotel or Jamaa Lafna.
Day 6 : Explore Marakech :
Today our Morocco tour will be about exploring Marrakech “the red city”. Depending on your time we will visit the most interesting spots of the City as the Koutoubia Minaret, the Sardines tomb, Bahia Palace, and also the amazing Menara gardens, not to forget the Majorelle gardens Of Gueliz in which you can find many modern restaurants and coffees. Then we drive you to the airport in Marrakech.
