Day 1 : Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga: 4 Days Private Tour from Fes:
Pick up at the Riad or Hotel, after breakfast at 8:00 am and start of our adventure. Departure from Fes to Merzouga. you will begin your ascent We pass through Ifrane city, a winter ski resort in a totally Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Switzerland village, we visit the cedars forest in Azrou you will see the monkeys, drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Desert. Halfway, you will have free for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks, then we continue towards Merzouga in the road we will stop in panoramic views to see the huge oasis of palm tree we reach to Merzouga in the afternoon, Depending on your arrived in traditional Kasbah on the foot of the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After rest a mint tea the guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi, you’ll enjoy the beauty of the sunset on camel, after one hour you will reach the desert camp to spend the night in a Berber tent. Day 2: Merzouga Area – Camel Trek and Overnight in the Desert Camp :
After breakfast in your riad, we will continue exploring the desert in Merzouga. You will visit the Gnawa people – originally from Mali, Senegal and Sudan – in their village Khamlia. In the first place, you will learn about their music and their lifestyle. later, we will drive in the desert area to meet nomad families to explore their way of life. today our lunch will be a traditional meal (Berber pizza) with a local family. You will have the option also to visit the old city of Rissani – the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Rissani is surrounded by about 360 ksars (a fortified village with many towers) and has a big souk (an open market), held three times a week. Once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans. Coming from Tombouctou in Mali. So here you’ll walk through the souk, selling spices, vegetables and clothes. After that, we will Drive back to the village of Merzouga. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley :
You will be woken early in the morning so you can experience the beauty of a desert sunrise and the amazing silence of the Sahara. You will then ride your camel back to your accommodation where breakfast will be waiting and a hot shower to freshen you up for the day’s adventure. This is a wonderful time to experience the silence and the changing colours as the sun rises on the dunes. We will pack up and leave the Desert as we drive to Tinghir and the impressive gorges. Todgha Gorge is 300 metres of vertical rock, one of the narrowest in all of Morocco; it is a favourite spot for hikers and climbers who come from all over the world. We will have our lunch break here so you have time to enjoy it. After lunch, we will continue our journey along the Dades Valley, from there we will drive up into the Dades Gorge; this is a unique place where the rock formations look like fat monkey fingers and where rose coloured ancient kasbahs look like majestic sandcastles. We will spend the night in a hotel in the heart of this amazing location.
Day 4 : Dades Valley – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech :
Today after breakfast starts with an easy stroll through Dades Valley and the alley of the Roses providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip in both the valley, famous for roses. We’ll stop at Kalaa Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the tea, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continuing on to Skoura to visit the Kasbah Ameridil. The roses tour continues to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Afri geography and beautiful landscapes has attracted many world-class movie producers. Here you may choose to visit the studios where some gator. We will pass by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah as a UNESCO heritage site.
