Program Overview:

Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga :

After breakfast, we will Pick up at the Riad or Hotel, and start our adventure towards Merzouga. We will Drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by the little Switzerland of Morocco “ Ifrane city”, and visit the cedars forest in Azrou where you might see the monkeys.

Halfway, you will have free time for lunch in the town of Midelt, which is famous for its fossils and rocks, then we will continue towards Merzouga

We reach Merzouga in the afternoon, After resting for a cup of tea, the guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the dunes of the Erg Chebbi and enjoy the beauty of the sunset on the dunes, then continue your to the desert camp to spend the night in a Berber tent. At your desert shelter, your camels are hobbled and mint tea is served. You will also have a wonderful dinner with our desert family and see all Stars sparkling in the beautiful sky.

Day 2 : Merzouga – Sahara Desert – Camel Trek :

Enjoy a free day until heading out on a camel safari in the late afternoon. Spend the cool morning exploring the undulating golden sand of the dunes or simply relaxing by the pool. Opt “to explore the surrounding communities on a 4×4 excursion”. In the afternoon, take an overnight bag and set off on a 1-hr camel ride to a desert camp deep in the dunes. Local guides will teach you how to mount and dismount and how to tie a turban to keep the desert sun off your face and add a little flare to your photos. Enjoy a warm welcome at the desert camp followed by a traditional dinner under the stars. There will be time to hear stories about life in this region and perhaps, if lucky, be treated to some traditional music on the drums.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley :

Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise in your life. Then you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Your hotel/Riad. So en route, you won’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and a hot shower, you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra Gorges. In fact, these gorges are the highest and the narrowest in Morocco.

Then after lunch in the heart of the Gorge, we’ll continue our Fes Desert Tours via the Sahara Desert, through the Dades Valley. There where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the unique rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Finally, overnight accommodation will be in a fancy traditional guesthouse overlooking the Dades valley with dinner and breakfast.

Day 4 : Dades Valley – Boutaghrar – Skoura – Ouarzazate :

After breakfast, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna then Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is named the Way of thousand kasbahs. It provides numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip.

So today we will have the opportunity to visit a nomad family in the mountain living in caves. There you will discover another style of life, different from the other one in the Sahara desert. Then we’ll stop at Kalaa Mgouna “the rose city” to purchase some rose products, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip.

Continuing on our 5 days tour from Fes Desert Tours via the Sahara Desert, to Skoura you will visit the Kasbah Ameridil—a well-preserved Kasbah in this area. Then lunch will be in a traditional Moroccan restaurant overlooking the beautiful valley, then it’s on to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”, which geography and beautiful landscapes have attracted many world-class movie producers. Here you may visit the studios, containing props used in movies such as The Mummy, Gladiator, and The Last Temptation of Christ… Finally, overnight accommodation will be in a riad with dinner and breakfast.

Day 5 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech :

After breakfast, we will start our trip with a visit to cinema studios found in Ouarzazate which is regarded as Hollywood of Africa. Subsequently, we will visit the all-inclusive Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah as it has been named by Unesco in 1987. Ait Ben Haddou is a World Heritage site that has been utilized as a setting for more than 20 movies incorporating “Gladiator” “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. Revel in a stroll to investigate the universal Moroccan style of construction modeling in which the Kasbahs are constructed.
