Start your adventure in Tangier, where we will pick you up from the airport, port, or your hotel. Then, enjoy a scenic drive to the beautiful blue town of Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. Spend the afternoon walking through the blue-painted streets, shopping in the small markets, and enjoying delicious Moroccan food. Overnight in a local riad or hotel.
After breakfast, drive through small villages to reach Volubilis, a site with ancient Roman ruins and colorful mosaics. Then visit the imperial city of Meknes, where you will see the large Bab El Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After lunch, head to Fes for the night.
Explore the rich history of Fes, the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit the royal palace gates, walk through the old medina (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and see the world’s oldest university – Al-Qarawiyyin. Discover a traditional school with colorful tiles, a beautiful wood-carved fountain, and the famous leather tanneries. End the day with a panoramic view of the city.
Leave Fes and head to Ifrane, a town with a European look. Pass through the cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you might see Barbary monkeys. Continue through the long and beautiful Ziz Valley, then arrive at the Merzouga desert. Ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes to see the sunset, then enjoy dinner and music at a luxury desert camp under the stars.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, visit Khamlia village to hear traditional Gnawa music. Explore an old mining village, then visit a Berber nomad family in the desert and share tea with them. In the afternoon, relax at a desert hotel or try fun activities like quad biking or a sunset walk in the dunes.
